Getting Around Long Island:
There is no public transportation on Long Island; therefore visitors should budget for a rental vehicle. Let us know what you wish, and we can arrange to have the vehicle of your choice waiting for you at either the Deadman's Cay Airport or the Stella Maris Airport.

Car Rental Rates:
The typical rental rate is $65/day (cash only). Both small cars and SUVs are available. Fuel is about $4/gal.

Driving to Grotto Bay:
We
are located in the settlement of Salt Pond, south of the Stella Maris
Airport & north of the Deadman's Cay Airport. There is only one
major highway (The Queen's Highway) running the length of Long Island
(about 60 miles). We have no traffic lights!
After you see the sign for Salt Pond, look for our Grotto Bay fish-rock sign by
the side of the road (on a slight rise between Hillside Grocery &
HSC Grocery). Turn west onto the narrow dirt road (a white house is on
the corner) & drive to our parking area. Toot your horn, please,
upon arrival.
